Best Exam Results Ever

The Eastbourne Academy is delighted to report its 2016 examination results are the best in our history with a 20% rise in the number of students getting 5 A*-C GCSE grades including English and Maths. English continued to excel with 72% A* to C, Maths secured their best ever result at 57% (The “Basics” result is 55%) whilst Languages secured amazing results at A* to C (French 88% with German, Spanish, Portuguese and Polish all getting 100%). Performing Arts and Sociology remained excellent at 95% and 78% respectively.

Principal Keith Pailthorpe commented: “This amazing set of results is thanks to the hard work and commitment shown by students, staff and parents. When the national progress figures are published later this year we will see TEA in all its glory! Well done!”

Exceptional performance was recorded by the following students beating their targets to achieve outstanding numbers of A* and A grades in their GCSEs:

Hannah Dadd, Abi Edwards, Ciaran Peacock, Roberta Haasner, Zoe Schuessler, Maddison Hayler, Aayush Mahat (also our Academy Head Boy), Diogo Nascimento, Chhayal Patel and a special mention goes to Joanne Williams for exceptional progress to achieve a full set of high grades. Well done to all these amazing young people!
